Measuring tips for dresses

  • Bust: measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level.
  • Waist: measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso.
  • Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips, usually 7 to 9 inches below your waist.
  • If your measurements fall across two sizes, go with the size that fits your largest measurement, a dress can usually be taken in, but not let out.
Enter at least one measurement above and select Find My Dress Size

Fit Tips by Dress Style

Your measurements get you to the right size range, the dress's cut decides how it actually wears. A few things worth knowing before you buy:

Bodycon
Built to skim the body closely, so we recommend your true size for the intended fit. Prefer more give? Size up, since bodycon fabric has less stretch than you'd think.
Wrap
Size for your bust, the tie closure does most of the work adjusting the waist, so there's built-in flexibility there.
A-Line & Fit-and-Flare
Size for your bust and shoulders. The flared skirt has natural ease, so it's forgiving through the hip and thigh.
Maxi
Get the length right by measuring in the shoes you plan to wear it with. If you're between lengths, a maxi is easier to hem than to lengthen.
Mini & Summer Styles
Prioritize hip room and ease of movement over a snug waist, a little extra room through the hip prevents riding up.
Between two sizes?
Go with the size that fits your largest measurement. It's simple to take a dress in at the seams, much harder to let one out.
